Job Title: Grades 4-6 English Language Arts - Armleder Campus

Employment Status: Full Time, Exempt

Reports to: Armleder Campus Principal

Start Date: August 2022, Following School Calendar

Job Summary: Develop students' interests, abilities, gifts, and skills in the language arts using a cohesive and sound pedagogical approach. Provide students with engaging learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement plans for the curriculum program assigned
  • Prepare lessons that reflect accommodation for individual student differences
  • Plan and use appropriate instructional/learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect accommodation for individual needs of students assigned
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with families through positive and ongoing communication throughout the year
  • Use current best practice approaches with students
  • Use technologies in the teaching/learning process
  • Consistently assess student achievement through formal and informal testing
  • Present a positive role model for students that supports the mission of the school
  • Create a classroom environment conducive to learning
  • Maintain a professional relationship with all colleagues, students, parents, and community members
  • Participate in the building staff development program
  • Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible
  • Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on committees as required
  • Any other assignment deemed appropriate by the building principal


  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in English Language Arts Education
  • Current Ohio teaching license
  • Highly engaging, enthusiastic educator, who is creative, motivational, and willing to build strong relationships with students and their families
  • Ability to instruct students and possessing classroom management skills
  • Strong communications, public relations, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to integrate faith and learning
  • Must be a believing Christian who is comfortable in a denominationally diverse Christian community.
