`Iolani School seeks a full-time Upper School Advanced Placement Computer Science teacher for the 2023-2024 school year.
Candidates should have experience teaching a range of courses in computer science, from the introductory to the advanced placement or college level. In addition to being active participants in our vibrant learning community, we are looking for educators who will inspire and support our students. The ideal candidate is dynamic, a strong communicator (both written and oral) and committed to professional growth in their discipline and teaching practice.
Areas of responsibility may include teaching AP and other levels of computer science, teaching and/or coaching multiple levels of robotics in the area of programming strategy and implementation, and co-leading the School’s emerging AI programs.
An advanced degree in Computer Science is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable designing and executing curriculum as part of a teaching team while embracing the use of instructional technology.
'Iolani School has many extracurricular opportunities available for those looking to extend their work beyond the classroom, including, but not limited to: participation in our residential life program, coaching athletic and/or academic student teams, and serving as an adviser in our advisory program.
