Princeton Day School is seeking an experienced Middle School Science Teacher to cover a leave replacement from August 22, 2023 to mid-January 2024. PDS is looking for teachers committed to nurturing and supporting Middle School aged students.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Teach 8th grade physical science
- Teach 6th grade life science
- Serve as an advisor in the middle school
- Assist in middle school specific duties and extra-curricular areas of the school
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in math or a science discipline (Masters preferred)
- Teaching experience in middle school
- Have knowledge of best practices in 21st century science instruction
- Proven success in teaching and curriculum development
- Forward thinking and creative teacher
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
- Experience with technology integration
- Experience with differentiated instruction
- Creative and resourceful, with a sense of humor and strong work ethic
- A passion for learning and a commitment to academic excellence and student achievement
- Commitment to collaborative and innovative teaching styles
